The Gif4Mac app

Gif4Mac collects, stores, and transmits no personal data whatsoever.

• There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
• The app makes no network calls. It works entirely offline.
• Your recordings and GIFs never leave your Mac: they are saved locally in ~/Documents/Gif4Mac.
• The macOS “Screen Recording” permission is used solely to capture your screen locally. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.

In App Store terms, this is “Data Not Collected”: we have nothing about you, and we want it that way.

This website

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free analytics service. It collects only aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as page views). It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
